This week is of the very great importance for plenty of Christians. The Maundy Week is beginning. This year’s Easter is significant as it happens very rare when the Orthodox and Catholic Easters are celebrated simultaneously. Yesterday there was the so called Verbnoe Voskresenje (literally, the Pussy-willow Sunday, but actually, the Palm Sunday). It’s called Verbnoe (Pussy-willow) because of geographical position of Russia; people bring home the branches of the tree which buds appear first and that is a pussy-willow tree.

![]() ![]() It is a touching history of the elderly married couple recollecting their life, full both light memoirs and fatal mistakes. Whether the husband and the wife will find the most important and most necessary words which will help them to understand and forgive each other? What is the price of human mistakes? Also what in our life really has value before the eternity? Of course the performance is in Russian. It would be a great chance for girls to test their Russian skills!

![]() Our northern March is like this: frosty sunny days, sometimes snowy weather and no visible signs of coming spring. That makes many of us upset but still spirit of the season is in the air and mostly it’s due to people’s mood craving for warmth and hot bright sun. Though the girls from our Russian language school Enjoy Russian don’t have much free time as they are busy with their Russian language studies. They enjoy the very last weeks of frost and cold to participate in winter sports activities.
In Thursday Peter left us for home and we already miss him much; he was a real life and soul of the company and it was great to work with him. And we really hope that he will come back to Enjoy Russian in summer 2010! 03/09/10

Anni has finished her Russian language course at the school Enjoy Russian. That weekends were special for her as her father came from Finland to visit Anni and to see the town his daughter had studied a month in. Of course, Russia is even more attractive if you see it celebrating a holiday! Anni had a lot of opportunities to immerse into the Russian traditions and culture while being here! And she had something to show to her father!
