Russia was celebrating another wonderful holiday yesterday. That was the International Women’s Day. This time it was women’s turn to get presents, bunches of spring flowers, congratulations, listen to warm pleasant words… Every year plenty of women wait for this holiday not only to find out that they are beautiful and loved. The 8th of March is the very beginning of spring and soon warm and sunny days will start. Besides this was an extra day-off to celebrate the holiday with families and friends.

Call For Foreign Language Teachers from Great Britain and FinlandPetrozavodsk, Russia We are looking for creative teachers of the English and Finnish languages for participating in a language exchange project in Russia. The language project is aimed, on the one hand, at acquainting Russian children, youth and adults with diversity of European languages and cultures. On the other hand, foreign teachers living in host families and communicating with Russian people get to know Russia and the Russian language.
Teachers are expected to perform the following tasks: designing the curriculum of the language course, giving 20 language hours per week, participate in experience exchange seminars for teachers, participate in intercultural activities.
Conditions: We provide teachers with the free accommodation in Russian families. We provide visa support. Teachers will be granted a honorarium for their work.
The candidate teacher should meet the following criteria:
- have excellent knowledge of at least two European languages (English is obligatory)
- have an education in teaching foreign languages
- have some teaching experience and basic skills in designing the curriculum
- be able to pass medical checks and to obtain a Russian working visa
Russian is not required.
