We were so sorry that we had to say goodbye!
Nathalie Amacker came to Petrozavodsk in May and stayed with us 6 weeks. Somehow in such a short period of time she managed to do so much, to participate in so many activities, to make so many Russian friends, she even found a place to do aikido here!
No doubt that her Russian got much better! But I think she’s got much more than just the language improvement. She’s got a priceless life experience living together with Russians, communicating with lots of Russian and foreign people every day, getting to know the customs and traditions of Petrozavodsk people…
Her project at the end of the course was amazing! She created a quest that showed us what she did during the 6 weeks here: she went to exciting excursions (Kinerma, Kivach, Kizhi island), she saw a white night sunrise at the lake shore, she’s learned so much of Russian with her brilliant teachers Katya and Olga and now she has lots of true friends that came to the train station to see her off with flowers and candies.
Come again, Nathalie! We miss you already!
