How is it like to study in Russia for 3 months?
Joanna and her impressions about “Full immersion” Russian language course
This week we decided to take a step aside from our usual viedo lessons and offer you watching the impressions of one of the students, Joanna from the UK. She had been learning Russian in Petrozavodsk for 12 weeks last autumn and made a great progress. During that time she met new friends, had great evenings with Russian volunteers and Russian host family, learnt how to make traditional Karelian pies. She said she would come back. Well, Joanna, we hope to see you soon here in Russia!
Teachers used the variety of different methods which kept lessons interesting. The host family were very helpful and nice and it was great living with them. I felt very at home with them and they made an effort to talk with me and make me feel welcome. I really enjoyed the program and felt that it really helped my language skills. Everyone is really nice, the classes are small and you really get a chance to learn but also feel at home.
