Enjoy Russian language school opens the registration for 2-week Russian course near the Baikal in September 2019
Dear friends, we are happy to announce that from now on each of you may join us on an unbelievable trip to the Baikal this autumn. Of course, it’s not just the language tour, it is an opportunity to take an off-road ride in Russian car UAZ, chance to meet indigenous Buryat people and even get on a train on famous Trans-Siberian railway. Let us tell you more in details on what to expect from the journey.
Meeting up in Irkutsk
First of all, we have to underline that during the trip we will see many places. Meeting point is in Irkutsk (1 September) from where UAZ van also known as “Crazy Bu” will take us to the Olkhon (the island which is located near the deepest point of the Baikal). Believe us, Russian off-road trip is something that foreigners are joining the queue to try! We will go to a cliff called Shamanka. Being a part of historical and cultural heritage, the cliff is believed to be the home for Olkhon spirit. “What about Russian classes?” you may ask. After the tour to Shamanka, we will settle in the guest house and proceed with 4 interactive lessons.
September 3. Khoboi peninsula
Did we mention that 3-time meals are included? Not yet? Well, now you know! On our second day right after breakfast, we head to Khoboi Peninsula. An interesting fact: informally the peninsula is known as Maiden peninsula because if you take a look at it from the water it reminds of a girl. We continue traveling on “Crazy Bu” with many stops on breathtaking locations and of course, will have a picnic. A real adventure, isn’t it?
September 4. A day on a boat
This day is fully devoted to water. We start with a boat excursion to Maloe Morye (smaller sea, a part of the Baikal separated from “great water” by island Olkhon). To have something to compare Olkhon with, we will stop on another island called Ogoi. There is an ancient Buddhist Serenity Stupa which is of course added to the program. In other to save some time and be able to see more we will have lunch right at the boat and as usual, at the end of the cultural activities will be learning Russian for 4 hours.
Follow our blog, next week we’ll get back to the trip and tell more about day 4, 5 and 6 of the journey. If you already feel like taking part in this, apply HERE or ask a question – firstname.lastname@example.org
