Valaam Monastery and Ruskeala career
In August our students from USA and Czech Republic – Jack and Karolina – visited Valaam Monastery and Ruskeala career with a Russian group. They not only admired the picturesque landscape, unique atmosphere of the Valaam Island, but practiced Russian with local tourists.
Open Air Kizhi Museum
One of the most popular activities and “must see” places among the students is a trip to the Kizhi Island in Lake Onega. The largest Open Air Museum in Russia is located there. It is the unique museum of peasant culture and wooden architecture of the Russian North.
