What is UKHA or how our students discover Russian traditions?
Last week our student cultural program was full of extra events and festivals, as always!
Our American students visited the concert of Russian folk ensemble «Onego» where they listened hits of Soviet Union pop music and foreign songs by ensemble and laureate of international contests Sergey Dudinskiy.
While our student Francois Duhesme from France with our volunteer of Russian language School Mohhamed Ramadan of Russian language School played Karelian ancient street game«Kyykkä». They enjoyed dialogue with their couch Roimo Maččiev and ask him to say something in Karelian language.
During weekends our student Jacqueline Chan from Singapore visited city called Olonets, the first capital of Karelia and enjoyed folk songs of more than 40 choir ensembles from the whole Russia. She really enjoyed their costumes and strong Russian voices.
Last weekends, Petrozavodsk celebrated a CITY DAY. All our students of Russian Language School visited this event. For example, our students fom Great Britain Sarah and Vendela with their “host mother” tasted traditional karelian soup Ukha for free, dances and concerts.
Enjoy the pictures and visit Karelia!
