There are lots of ways to answer the question "How are you?" in Russian
Usually people say "Хорошо" (fine), "Нормально" (normal), "Отлично" (great), "Всё в порядке" (everything is fine), "Не очень" (not so well), "Так себе" (s0-s0) and etc. But there are some really cool and fun ways how to respond to this question that people use quite a lot.
- Лучше всех – Better than everyone. A bit boastful, but not much. People use it quite often when they are happy.
- Ещё не родила – I haven't given birth yet. It sounds really weird in English, but in Russian, it's a very fun way for a woman to respond to "How are you?". She doesn't have to be pregnant to use this phrase. But if she is it sounds even funnier.
- Как сажа бела – (Things areas all right) as soot is white. This expression is used when you want to say that you're doing as bad as bad can be, as fine as a frog's hair. People often use it when they don't want to talk and answer people's questions and they just want everyone to leave them alone.
